Help!?

Featured Replies

Simple one.

Basically, since i'm a student I get 4months off for summer lol (I do work 30-40hours a week now but that's negligible tbh)

Anyway, since i've got so much time on my hands i'm wanting to compile a list of 'to do' jobs for the vRS.

So far, things I can think of are;

Clean inlet manifold & EGR.

Sort out speakers

Anybody got any other suggestions of things I could stick on my 'to do' list?

I know it's kind of a broad thing, but just swing any suggestions this way and it'l get my mind working a bit....

Might just take wheels off and check everything.

I change oil every 5k anyway so no need for that really :)

Same boat as you, after exams My 'to-do' list currently is:

~ Changing front disc/pads (undecided on 288 or 312s), inc brake fluid and whatever else I can think of whilst im down there..

~ Clean engine bay (good ole scrub, as i see some rust/water marks here and there...

~ Door panel seal-ment (in the guides section) 3 of the 4 doors are a bit.. leaky

~ Start to shop for some H7's as I have a feeling they may go v soon.. (One went and just dug one up from the spares draw).

~ unsure about cleaning egr and bits.. should do really.... :dull:

Tweeks:

~ Sub woofer (have one already but its at a friends being long term borrowed..) undecided..

~ Colour code door handles (when I find a hex long enough...)

~ Lamin-x ness.........

~ Waiting for the new external briskoda stickers to be on sale............................................ + more skoda stickers :D (stickers = m0re speed = m0re bhp!)

~ Debadge the skoda badge at the back, doesn't match the front one (tho undecided)

~ Custom intake box for better breathing (uh.. yeah... :S )

~ repaint upper front strut skoda green if i do get 312mm upgrade (requires painting too) if not prob just re-do strut black.

~ tempted in mud flaps but.. sceptical how much dirt its going to stop flicking up.. (really don't like a dirty rear window)

Possibly de-cat, remap.. but Im enjoying the std power atm.

HTH.

Full interior clean & treatment (i.e. dash detailer, etc) - get all the dirt out of the crevices around the handbrake, etc?

General exterior clean (i.e. clay + polish/glaze + wax?

Pull the wheel arch linings out and clean behind them? (Note: the wheel arch linings can rub on the back of the sill, where there's a little flap - I'd have a look at this, as you may find it needs a bit of touch-up paint - mine had rubbed down to the primer)

Go over the edges of the brake discs to remove any corrosion lipping?

Clean all the crap out from the edges of the engine bay/plenum?

Check paint on the under-body (shock absorbers, drive shafts, etc - can become cracked or take stone hits)

Fix any stone chips?

Otherwise do an "inspection service" on it...?
