The service reminder (900 miles) has flashed up for the 50k service and in just over a month the Fabia (1.4TD - Level 2) will be reach its 3rd birthday! Can't fault the car really, nothing has gone wrong, nothing rattles and it doesn't cost very much to run.

So, other than sorting out the MOT and the 50k service is there anything else that I should be thinking about doing to it? Noticed that the air-con doesn't seem quite as effective as it was on day one but it still gets cold when left running for a little while. Third set of tyres on the front, and the originals on the rear still have life left in them which is good

Anyone know if Skoda give any options to extend the warranty at this point?

A swap for a nice new one might be a bit much to expect :'(

Mine is a few weeks past its warranty and is just over 51k miles. Also a 1.4 TDI. Getting a new Fabia next week so have been living dangerously with no warranty although it has been so reliable I dont think it is much of a risk.

I looked into an extended warranty from Skoda (about 300) but when I factored in the trade in price I was offered and the vat free offer it made sense to change. Got a price from the dealer i use for service and I dont think they took me seriously so offered a poor trade in. At that point I was going to keep it, but went back to the dealer I got the car from and they gave me a much better price. Worth shopping around you may be presently suprised!

I have been so impressed with this car I didnt even bother looking at the newer alternatives from other manufacturers.

My car seems to have been very similar to yours on tyre wear, three sets on the front although I did replace the rears recently.

Only thing i have been disapointed with is the fuel economy which has been ok but no better than a 150 bhp Golf GT TDI I had seven years ago.

Agree on the air con, may be worth a recharge, had that done on our other car and it makes a difference.
