Need a little help with my sound system

Anyone know the size of the speakers in the furby vRs?

Also, I saw an Bose subwoofer that fits a 2000 Audi A3. Anyone know it will fit in the boot of the furby that way it bolts on to the A3. It does look custom for an A3 though :(

Expertise required!!!!

BOSE enclosure wont fit in a Fabia, boot is a completely different shape.

13.5 CM components will fit up front, try not to go over 60mm depth though, will need either adaptersto fit or better still make some out of MDF.

There is a guide on here on fitting them.

Damn you're fast, no complaints though

What about the back? Is 13.5cm the standard size at the front? I'm lookin for some BOSE speakers, they sound too good

any good set of component door speakers will sound as good as BOSE if not better, especially if a top notch pair. (like infinity kappa's for eg ;))

and yeah, they needed major fitting work, but it was worth it (and the case of beer I paid to Joel to do it for me! :D)

I also need help with the Furby Audio System

i'm wanting to upgrade the CD player to a MP3/CD player but i would also like to know if the head units im looking at are compatiable

also aint a clue what to look for

the Furby got 6 speakers 2 of which is tweeters is that right also what would the new unit need to run all the speakers and what Watt range can these speakers go upto

i aint a clue really what im talking about but get lost why some units are soo much cheaper than others

saw the Blankpunt MP3 unit in the skoda catalogue which i can get from Halfords 299 prolly cheeper if i look around a bit more but some units are only

Back are 10cm. Recommend disconnecting the rear tweeters (ones in the rear doors) You can do this from the boot. From the rear speakers pull out the cables that go to the tweeters.

why is disconnecting the rear tweeters recommended?

why is disconnecting the rear tweeters recommended?

coz they sound ****.... really tinny high pitched noise planted right by ya ears (top of rear door) totally ruins the sound.... why they put them in I'll never know

why is disconnecting the rear tweeters recommended?

Just personal taste really.

Will 5 1/4" (13cm) speakers fit in the front. Ross said 13.5cm so I'm a little confused

Yes, what Jon said! :D

(beat me to it)

Here's my 13cm, mid install. :)

whoops, wrong one... :o

Jason they look more like miny subs :D, how do they sound?

Sweet, when they're amped... :o Currently have no amps in the car so the front speakers are dead... and I can confirm rears on their own don't have enough bass potential! :(

ok so it is base plates for 13's or those adaptors for the 17's. Are there any adaptors for the 13's or am I just being awkward. For an engineer, I hate making things.

Those infinity's are gorgeous, might have to get me a set of them.

How do the door cards come off then? I've heard that is a major job :(

I can't find my post atm (I'm being lazy), but if you do a search in the ICE for threads I've started, there are two or three which you may find useful :)

The front speaker size can be a little confusing because the size of the OEM speaker is in fact smaller than the "hole" they fit in, and that's because the baffle spacer put in by the factory is slightly conical if you see what I mean

OK, here they are
