1.6 Cr /DSG

Featured Replies

Per Skodas somewhat unreliable web site it will do 60mpg (combined)

But described as a 7 speed manual??

So is this the dry DSG box, with the extra fuel economy

I am a sedate middle aged bloke and iffen the automated gearbox is doing the work not too worried about the (alledged) sluggish performance of the 1.6 Cr diesel

I am currently driving a 1.9TDI Galaxy so used to a slower pace of life ( mind a combined 50+mpg on the 100 Hr trip anit bad)

Ps

Should it not be possible to electronically circumvent the DPF??, as we currently do not have emissions testing at our MOT's

I really really fancy a Yeti , but the long delivery times could be a problem

Yes, it's the 7 speed DSG, but I you'd have to physically remove the DPF as it's a filter in the exhaust system... You'd then need to tell the car it's not there to stop it complaining...

Some people really do need to get over the DPF. It's simply a non-issue. So much better not to have a cloud of black smoke out of the back every time you give it a bit of welly.

I wouldn't say it's a non issue, but I do think the dealers (all marques) should alert people more about them. If your driving pattern doesn't suit the DPF it can be an issue...
