what size wheels do you have ?

Featured Replies

ok heres the big question, will et 35 rims that are 8.5 inches wide fit without rubbing on the strut or on the wheel arch lip?

i have worked out that, asuming the vrs wheels are 17x7 et 38 then these wheels will be 16mm closer to the strut and 22 mm further out.

is this too wide for our arches or will it fit.

hi there

i have 18x8 on a et 35 and i can tell ya they are close to the strut and i would have not thought you would be able to go any wider but someone else may be able to confirm this

they do sit nice in the arches though alot wider stance

its looking like 18x8 et 35 is about as far as you can go out then :(

is there any chance either of you two could measure the gap from suspension to wheel and wheel to the edge of the arch? that way i can definatly find out if they will go on asi have you numbers

i have nearly half inch between tyre n arch but its to low to measure tyre to strut :giggle:

its now sat lower than in the pic, tyres now sat in arch B)

ok cheers

half inch on the outer edge is exactly what i need :smirk: just the inners to try and suss out now

having a think i might need the arches pulled slightly to get them under perfectly, should look wide

I've got 8.5x18 et35 on my car seem to clear every thing, although I'm running slightly stretched 225/40's I ve yet to see what it's like with any load but looks asthough it should be ok

cheers for the pictures it looks like its a perfect arch filler to me

I had some old style RS4 replicas previously fitted which were 18"x8 with the offset being ET33. They were pretty wide & I bought a set of milotec wheel arch extentions just to take the eye off It.

hmmmm, i cant decide now, i love the wide fat look of cars, alot of it is all about the stance for me

cheers for the responses people B)

Yeh I know what you mean about them filling the arches, I think if I lowerd mine it would look a lot better

what if you give thought about et30 and run a nice euro style stretch on a 215/40 ? :smirk:

 this was my kind of plans i was thinking if went down to 8.5 x 19s B)

;)

its a nice idea but not for me, i wouldnt be stretching tires like that if i can as i like to drive with a little bit o spirit, the most stretch would be looking at was 225/40/18

plus et 30 would mean i would be a 27mm closer to the arch opposed to the 22mm im proposing, i just dont think that there is that much room to go out looking at the 8.5x18 et35 pictures
