Removing front seats

Featured Replies

I've searched, but cant find the info I'm after.

I want to remove the front seats from the runners (there's a little bit of rust and flaking paint on them). Is it straight forward enough or do I need to be aware of any tricky issues?

Anyone? :)

never took mine out so not sure of the setup...but cant you just remove the seat/runners together and repair the paintwork?

Seats and runners are held together as one unit I think. Can be removed complete undoing the M8 spline bolt in each corner of the runners.

Dead easy, it's 4 spline bolts per seat, slide the seat all the way forward to do the rear bolts, then all the way backwards to do fronts. Then it's 8 (possibly allen) bolts holding each seat to the runners. Again, you'll need to move the sliders back and forth to access the allen heads, as the nuts are on top with the bolt going upwards. (Well they were on mine in any case)

Cheers

Is that extreme weight loss to improve performance? :giggle:
