What you need:

cable/wire suitable for fog lamps (8amp rated) - 4ft is plenty

cable/wire splitter connector - connector to tap off from one wire

junior power timer terminal (female)

This is true of other estates, certainly in the 2002 MY.

Please though, don't do this mod. It will only make your brake lights less prominent in fog. :)

This is currently on my to-do list, along with fixing the bloody leaking rear washer pipe in the rear pillar...

The cable you need to splice into is routed down the left hand side of the car and goes from lhs to rhs along the back of the car (octy saloon ) so you only need to move the carpet on lhs and where the loom splits the wire is visible .

But does it not muck up the can-bus on newer cars?
