Just wondered if the face lift Fabia uses a different controller for things like anti-hijack feature and either one or two presses of remote to unlock. If so are there any new items which can be altered using VAG com.

Also does anyone know if the UK can get the chrome strip or the colour coded side strips like the Chinese Fabia?

Thats actually what I wondered about if you could now get the coming home/ leaving home lights, or the needle sweep on the dials. Sure I've seen that the FL allows you to use the remote to work the windows by holding down the lock or unlock buttons.

I know the buttons operate the windows on the Octavia, so maybe the Fabia too?

i must say the colour coded door strips look a bit more classy; again they're on theOctavia facelift

Ive pressed all the buttons in loads of different combinations and nothing. Wonder if it could be enabled?

Our new SE has this feature, hold the unblock button and it goes down. My old 3 didn't have this feature.

Thought I'd seen that the remote could be used rather then holding the key in the lock and that holding the lock button should make the windows close as well.

humm wonder why this doesnt work on my elegance? Did you have any options on yours that it could come with?

Have you looked in the maxidot menu, there might be an option to enable or disable.

The fabia FL does allow you to open the windows with the remote. First you have to open all the doors (2nd click on the open button) then release the button press and hold again and the windows open. The opposite obviously locks the doors and a second press closes the windows.

Awesome result !! just can't see a need for them now.

My Passat has that feature and it is great in this weather, use the remote to open the windows as soon as you are in range and it lets the heat out quickly so the car is not stifling to get into!
