I had my car in for a service friday past and asked the dealer to get a replacemend door reflector(the bit by the bottom corner) only to be told it comes as part of the entiredoor card and at £100 i wasnt wanting to replace the whole door card.....

The red door reflector clips into the door card. If you can't buy it individually it might be worth trying a breaker.

Could try the part number else where.. VW, Euro parts.. TPS?

I'm really surprised this isn't available as a separate part.. And is it not a light on all Fabias?

p.s. Don't you have just a smidge of warranty left?
