My Octy vRS still not ready,9 weeks 3 days after hitting a deer..........

Featured Replies

just been over to pick my car up as i was guaranteed it would be ready,on nightshift at the moment so got in showered etc to wake myself up and get there and its not finished, obviously as you can all imagine i'm quite p****d off, supposed to be Monday now, rant over!!!

the good thing to come out of this though is i've got there 24 hour test drive Mk2 Octy 2.0TDI till then and having driven it back all i can say is 'Bloody Lovely Car'.

the engine is fantastic,it pulls so well and the gearbox has a lovely action(6 speed box)and it goes round corners far better than i thought it would.

sitting on dual carriageway and gentle putting your foot down results in license loosing speed coming up effortlessly, only thing that i'm not sure about is how the speedo changes increments when you get to 80mph.

the seats are easy to get comfortable, the stereo sounds very good.

all in all my 1st impressions are 10/10,makes me wonder if i want my 'old' vRS Octy back, what am i saying!!!!!

At least you got a decent car to use while you're waiting... just think it had been a older skoda! When I was waiting for my fabia, I blew the clutch on my xantia so ended up with an early example of a favorit... (!!)

at least you guys got cars :(

5 months with nowt for me

Sorry to hear that Wrighty, must be sooooo frustrating

very frustrating, but all in all the dealer has been very apologetic and has kept me informed and in a car throughout all of it so i still give my dealer 10/10.

the new Octavia is fantastic sooooo much better than the 1.4 16v Mk1 Octy i've had for the last 3 weeks as you can imagine.

got my fingers crossed for Monday though.

Off to work now, nightshifts, got to love them!!!
