Couple of issues would like some advice

Featured Replies

Hi to everyone.I`ve got a few questions if someone could shed some light on them.

1. I`ve got an 02 plate octavia vrs and unfortunatly have stains on the fabric on the front seats.Have tried a few fabric or stain removers but no good so far.Does anyone have the solution?

2.Within the last week I have started getting a clicking noise from the cars clutch pedal when pushed to the floor and when released I can sort of feel it as I push the pedal too.Does anyone know what that is all about.

Had the car 4 years and would defo get another.Just had cambelt, water pump done run of the mill issues but worth doing great car.

I appreciate any feed back.

Cheers

No idea re. the stains, if you have tried all sorts of stain removers then it sounds like you are stuck with them  I've use the Vanish pre-wash spray on stain remover on mine in the past.

Clutch pedal - have you got a clip on the front edge of the drivers mat? When I got mine I kept having this feeling that the clutch pedal was catching on something and it was because I had some cheap rubber mats which weren't held down at the front and they were curling up and catching on the pedal. If that's not it then have a good look at the pedal assembly while you work it with your hand to see if you can pinpoint the clicking.

i got mine valeted profesionally and that brought the seats up mint

Thought you only got them on polo's?? :p

im going to rent a rug doctor as apparently that is more than capable of doing the job, ill let you know on saturday how they look

Clutch - most likely the floor mat, but possibly either the pedal or release fork pivot. Investigate in that order, because I've listed the cheapest things to look at first.
