Fixed cost servicing

Featured Replies

I should be taking delivery soon and I was wondering do the fixed price packages represent good value? I've looked on the SUK website but there are no details and I've not asked my dealer yet. Has anybody taken any of the packages? I gather there is service, service+maintanence and service+maintanence+tyres.

Hi,

took one of these service only plans out on my Yeti as it appeared to be slightly cheaper and I could pay monthly at no extra cost.

However I did specify that I wanted to use the time and distance rather than variable service regime, which the dealer said would be OK. After making the first 4 payments it transpired that as I was covering more than 10,000 miles a year I could only use the variable option :(

Cancelled the policy and after a good 3 months of comunication with VW finance I got a full refund as a 'good will' gesture, even though I'd been miss sold the plan in the first place :S

Mine costs £14.95 a month and covers all the services for the next 3 years as well as the cost of its first MOT. In addition, once a month, for 3 years, I can take it back to the dealer and have it valeted inside and out as well as, I beleive, having the tyre pressures etc checked...I can also take it for service at any one of their 5 dealerships, whichever suits me or the nearest one will collect it and return it ...Sounded good value to me so I went for it B)

I was offered this at £14.95 per year based on 10K per year, normal service cost £190 so potentially you save a £5 However a local VW dealer is offering service for Skodas less 50% which drops the cost to less than £100

As stated agreement is for 3 year 30k, not much use to me as I'll cover between 25 - 30 k in the first year and will have at least 2 services. Maintenance is also included, but what maintenance is needed on a still car under warranty?
