Hi All,

Picking up a Silver 170 DSG hatchback on Friday. Has Park Assist, Audio Upgrade & Something else I can't remember as an option! Very excited looking forward to the motorway drive home! One question is does the elegance come with the foot rests in the back as standard?

I want to make sure I am getting everything that should be on it. It is a 59 plate with 7k on the clock.

That's difficult to answer, as you would need to compare two vehicles side-by-side, but I ordered the upgrade and I'm delighted with it.

I'm not necessarily typical, however, as there have been some who don't consider it to be worth the extra (a search should reveal more discussions).

I think that the upgraded Audio is palpably better than the standard system to a point, but still leaves a lot to be desired compared to other manufacturers' audio systems; I have come to my Superb with the upgraded audio from a Volvo S40 with the standard mid-range system which knocked spots off of the Skoda for sound quality and depth - almost as if the structure and architecture of the Skoda simply aren't able to cope with the volume and bass that the system can deliver.

The system is still perfectly acceptable for my needs though and doesn't detract too much from an otherwise fab car - you will no doubt enjoy your drive home on Friday.

i don't have the upgraded sound - standard sound is Ok-ish - strangely, Michael Jackson from my iPhone on the MDI on the Columbus sounds FANTASTIC compared to all other radio, CD or iPhone tracks...

Slightly behind you but I collect my estate on Wednesday 7th. Sounds like it may turn out to be a rare beast as there are currently no Aqua Blue Superbs on the register on here, and it has got the panoramic roof which is no longer being offered as an option. According to the dealer the reason is not lack of parts but the cost - Skoda losing money with every one supplied. Possible downside to that is if it goes wrong, or glass is broken, repair could take a while. To date I've never had any problems with a sun roof in any car I've owned so Sod's Law says....
