hi again

With a fair wind and the sails set, the Freshacre Aqua Blue 170 Dirty Yeti will be joining in as well.... but decisions will perforce be made nearer the time.

I look forward to picking Tim's brains again about all things Yeti...and I think I have finally managed to wash all the Elan Valley dust out of my hair since the last adventure!!

George

Hi Kevin,

didn't realise multimap can give you a postcode, have to let me know how :wonder: anyway YO18 7DY comes up on Eastgate (A170) which is the correct road. If you go for the Aerial view you will see the big 'square' of tarmac between Eastgate and Kirkham Lane, which leads onto High Back Side and Whitby Road A169. You enter the car park from Eastgate and exit onto Kirkham Lane.

Also discovered there's an excellent aerial photo on Google Maps My link plus Street View My link

Regards,

TP

Just on the off chance that I can shake loose from here, can you tell me which hotel? PM if you prefer?

Hi if you can shake loose book a room in advance i phoned 7 b&bs before i found one (some will only do 2 or 3 nights i only need 1 night ) found one in thornton le dale just down the road from pickering little old lady with 3 rooms to let. But would rather give my money to her than some big hotel chain + i bet we get a fantastic breakfast.

I just put pickering b&b into the search engine and i comes up with loads.

you will have a longer trip than me I'm looking at around 8 hours + but it will be at the wheel of a SM so it should be a breezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze

regards kevin

Hi,

just a quick reminder the next Monster Meet (Adventure) is just over a week away on Sunday the 15th. starting in Pickering at 10:30.

Been up on the Wheeldale (Roman) Road this afternoon which runs up the moors, getting as far as Egton and Grosmont before turning for home along the main coast road to Scarborough. This old moors route will be included as part of the run :)

North York Moors Steam Rail Station Grosmont, as an afternoon service departs to Pickering via Goathland. This will probably be the last stop of before heading for Fish & Chips in Whitby

Cheers Tim

I want to see the photos when I get back!!

And I shall be looking for Yeti's in Brittany.

Nah - Graham - they're going to YORKSHIRE... ... ... ...

You guys have a nice trip tomorrow, hear? I had tried to swing a business meeting in the UK on Monday, but it did not pan out, so two 20 hour ferries was a bit too much to participate.

Now we do expect a brilliant group Yeti picture, suitable for wallpaper!
