Sorry, too busy killing this kitten for you to answer!

Try putting your seatbelt on!

Do you put your seat belt on before switching the ignition on? If not, then it's a feature.

If you do, it's rather warm for this (usually happens below 5c), but it's likely to be related to the coolant sensor in the expansion bottle. If the coolant level is low, top up; otherwise, clean the prongs on the sensor, or replace the bottle.

Ninjad!! :D

Oil or coolant at a guess. Mine would not start unless it was cranked over for ages, then the oil light would come on and it would beep, despite being fine minutes before, so could just be a funny five minutes?

My Fabia never beeped without a seatbelt, and that was the same age and trim.

Really, i have a 54 and i have not Seatbelt sensor

It was a feature only of the earlier cars Sunroof.. My Y plate elegance had it, my 04 vRS doesn't.

Usually there is some kind of warning message, like outside temperature below 4 degrees, something along these lines.

thanks will check coolant and oil but have replaced/ topped up both recently a week ago and yes seatbelt plugged in also had all warnings reset about a fortnight ago aswel as resetting service warnings. the only one that came back was sensor for evaporator outlet temp open or short to plus 00818 Im guessing this might be the prob then should stop using kitten blood for coolant. is this the sensor in the coolant top up tank that its talking about?like KenONiell was talking about think i will get a new bottle from the scrappers as min looks quite dirty

New bottle from the stealers is only a tenner, dead easy to replace and it cures the three beeps on ignition
