Who's been playing with a Ferrari?

Featured Replies

A bloke came round to buy my spare Arcade machine on Friday and while we were chatting he started asking me about my Octy and how quick they are. I explained that my TDI was nicely brisk but the VRS is very rapid for the money , especially when remapped.

Turns out that he has a 70's Ferrari Dino and a month or so back he was out for a reasonably quick drive in the countryside when an Octy ended up behind him. When the road widened out he said he put his foot down and the octy went past him like he was standing still.

I know a Dino isn't exactly the quickest Ferrari on the planet but it brought a smile to my face to hear him tell it. This was down Gloucester way. Anyone from here?

:rofl: brilliant. He probably lifted off after the Skud went by, make it look like he wasn't trying ;) .

Nope , he was a very nice chap and happily admitted that he was quite surprised to be stuffed by a Skoda even though he was trying.

It was me in my wife's ockty. Not a vrs though but a 1.6 classic. he had no chance.

My mother has a fab 1.2 and she (although now in her eighties) held off a scooby wrx for at least ten miles on a twisty trunk road the other day. He had more power but mum used the fabias neat handling to lose him. He came past on a very long straight and shouted "respect" at her.

I know our cars are modest but they have certainly taken some scalps.

Gloucester area you say? Shocking :D

Lets try this with a 70's Estelle and a new Enzo....lol

OK, the Dino was pants as Ferrari's go, but a great tale for the pub, as long as the other guy will back you up!

Nice one....
