Indicator lights work but no tick.

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone help my nan. She has a skoda fabia and is having a couple of small problems.

When she indicates the lights work but there is no tick sound.

Also when she leaves the lights on and opens the door there is also no sound to tell her the lights are on.

Anyone got any ideas? Could it be the relay?

Thanks

update: hazard warning light dont tick either

The tick is quiet compared with other cars. If the lights work the tick is there. Also, for buzzer to sound, key must also be removed.

Mine does this too. When i asked about it, a few guys on here said that the buzzer was at fault and the whole binacle has to be replaced. So i'm putting up with it for now!! It's not exactly the biggest problem!!

:) na its not the biggest problem but it gets mentioned every time i go round there, youve got to love old people :) They have to call you every name under the sun before getting to yours and repeat the same story over and over.

I take it its a big job then. Is it a big part that we need? If its only small the scrap yard might not charge much.

New instrument cluster needed, and it needs to be coded to the car as it includes the immobilizer.

Looks like she will have to put up with it :) and i will have to put up with it to :D.

Do you need one of those fancy laptops to do a instrument cluster test? Just seen a vid on youtube.

Your on the ball, totally agree with your statement, nothing to add.

Send a PM to Ben Wardle at Sharp Performance (Shark_90) as he can either fix these himself or he has someone who can fix them, that's if it is the speaker that's gone.
