Mats

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if the mats for a 2010 vRS need to have the holes in them for fixing into the car. As in the pic below.

Can all mats be fixed or just the front ones?

All mats can be fixed , and you can get black ones with vrs logo on them , surely it will come with mats anyway, they were standard

I bought some vRS embroidered mats as I picked up my vRS second hand, both front and rear mats have the holes to be fixed but my vRS only has the fixings for the holes in the front. This the same for all?

Same for me MKSkoda, the factory mats are pretty thin. I'm missing the ones out my other car, going to get some big thick ones with Vrs embroidered

No mats came with my new vRS. (Car ordered Jan 2010, delivered March 2010)

I was told in no uncertain terms that I had to buy them. I even queried this and was basically told to p1ss off.

The ones I purchased do not have a vRS logo on them, they are black, thin carpet, silver embroidered edges. Very cr@p.

Apart from that everything else was OK.

Mats are no longer a standard item and have to be ordered separately. If you do get them for free then great but do not expect them.

Just been on the website mats are indeed an extra now, They are all fixable in place and am sure your dealer will sell you the fixings for rear at a nominal price , if a dealer would not give me mats free < or money off list price > I would go elsewhere

The used Octavia Elegance I had recently bought from them had mats fitted on the test drive but they had been mysteriously been replaced with those absolutely pointless disposable, paper sheets when it was time to take delivery. I queried where they had gone and was told "Well, you didn't negotiate the mats into the deal". So I quickly removed the mats from my part-ex'd Octy vRS (non-logo) before signing any paperwork. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to throw the "Well, you didn't negotiate the mats into the deal" line back into the smug tw@t5 face.

and this was probably the best aspect of my experience with Dennis Horton and Sons........

Standard mats are cr@p, I bought a pair which have lasted about a year before wearing through (about 20k miles)

My factory ones wont see 8k at this rate

So which is it? you started your post saying no mats then quote "The ones supplied do not have a vRS logo on them, they are black, thin carpet, silver embroidered edges. Very cr@p"? I'm confused......

I purchased the mats, they were not free.

For £50 I was expecting something nice, not cr@p you could get from the pound shop.

Roger.... understood now, cheers.

Looks like I may have to take the set out of my current VRS MK2 and put them into the new one when I take delivery. I'll wait to see what’s in the car when it turns up before taking action. So far all my Octavia VRS's have come with Mats front and back. The only thing I’ve removed in the past is the boot netting out of my MK1 to go into my MK2.

Funnily enough the boot netting is now included (well it was on my estate anyway). As I too took out the net from my Mk1 to fit to the Mk2 when I got the preFL one.

The mats that came with my PD vRS had fixing points for the front and rear mats.

The mats that came with my FL vRS (when they were still standard) only have fixing points for the front mats. The rear mats have a 'sandpaper' like underside to keep them in place.

The page says it is for Octavias up to 2009 so this will not fit FL Octavias. My FL one has different fixings compared to my old pre FL model.
