Suspension Top Mounts

Featured Replies

My Fabia is running Weitec Coilys however the car is still on it's orignal top mounts which after 75K have had it judging by the knocking noises I'm getting going over speed bumps.

As I'd like to replace all 4x strut mounts, can somebody recommend the best place to buy them? It may even be the dealer?

Cheers

fronts are £15 each from the dealer i believe!

have you tried your front console bushes. common issue, people uprate them to seat ibiza cupra console bushes as there solid which the fabia vrs's aint ;)

these are £8 each from seat

Thanks I shall give the dealer a ring tomorrow.

All the front bushes are uprated with poly bushes and ibiza cupra ones for the console bushes :)

Is there an equivalent part for the rear shockers?

droplinks could also be worn / split ;)

no idea on the rears

Hope not, they were only replaced around 15K ago, although it does get 'used' on the twisties a fair bit.

are they the shortened drop links or the oem length ones as different coilies use different ones....

my old vmaxx coilies used the shortened droplinks and they were muck i went through 3 sets in 20k :o

if you're replacing the mounts, get the bearings too... they come separate iirc :)

I had a clonking too, didn't fix mine :( neither did drop links, wishbone bushes, arb, arb bushes...

They are standard drop links, I think suspension wise the only parts that are still original are the top mounts so that's why I'm going for them first.

I notice Jorily do the strut mounts inc bearings for £20 each.
