I just stumbled across this site whilst looking for a part for my recently abused car lol

I owned an Octavia 1.9 tdi Elegance a few years ago, bought it brand new on a 54 plate not long after the new shape was released. I kept it for about a year and swapped it for a BMW 230d SE Touring (BIG mistake!) and have regretted it ever since.

Anyway, I have just bought myself an Octavia Estate 20. tdi PD DSG Laurin & Klement on an 06 plate and I LOVE it!

I will try and contribute as much as possible in a constructive manner to the forum, but my car knowledge is pretty much the same as my knowledge of astro-physics so Im probably not going to be much use hahaha.

I wanted a VRS, but the older more sensible side of me won through hahahaha

Unrelated (hopefully!) to my faulty light problem, in the past few days I think the tone of my exhaust has changed and it sounds deeper. Whilst I was fiddling around with the lights, I gave the exhaust a push and noticed that it was swinging from side to side. Is it supposed to do this?! If not, what might the problem be?

A while ago, a car parked behind mine decided to spontaneously combust, melting my rear bumper and the outsides of the light clusters, plus scorching the hatchback. The light bulbs themselves weren't damaged and still worked, as did my aftermarket reversing sensor system, none of the wires were melted. I got a garage to replace the bumper, hatchback and light plastics, but I'm having a problem with the "faulty light" detector as, whenever I turn on the lights, the bulb symbol on the instrume

Hi. Just see that my 2023 skoda sportline karoq 19 inch wheels 19 inch. Sagittarius I believe? One of the covers is missing. Unsure if has been missing long and wanted your take on whether it has been stolen or has just fell off due to bad clips or design flaws. See photo of good wheel and the trim removed. I've had my Octavia mk4 for almost a year now and I'm looking for somewhere to get an annual service. For the previous 15 years I had an old vw bora and had been doing a basic yearly service myself, so I'm a bit out of touch with handing the car over to someone else.
