Howling

Featured Replies

My vRS, has in the last few weeks, started howling at about 55-60mph and I can't work out exactly where the noise is coming from. At first I thought it was the front windows, as when opening them a few mm the noise got quieter or even stopped, but now even that's not helping. I have discovered that travelling at about 90-95 (on my private race track of course) that the noise disappears, but that's not much help to me in a car that spends about 75% of it's time on the motorway.

Police: "Why are you travelling at 95mph sir?"

Me: "The car is quieter, the noise at 70mph dives me insane"...

Don't see that conversation working out in my favour emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Is this the famed wind noise I've seen in some older thread somewhere? I'm having real trouble getting to a dealer as work is sending me all over the place... I need some sanity back and soon emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif
