Bolero: REG N?

Featured Replies

Hi,

In the Station List in the radio section of the Bolero for some stations it reads "REG N" (where N is one or two digits) second rightmost.

Does anyone know what it means and/or what function it has?

Thanks a lot in advance!

This applies to regional stations, on some headunits and I guess the bolero/columbus is the same when you store one of these stations on a preset then pressing the preset repeatedly switches between these stations with the primary station being the one you stored. Quiet a handy feature as if you are out of coverage it will tune in to one it can receive.

I have received the following answer regarding "Bolero: REG N" from the Skoda Customer Support in Czechoslovakia:

REG is an RDS feature. It indicates, that the station broadcasts region-specific information (local news etc.). The up-to-two-digits code refers to the RDS Program Type (1=News; 10=Pop Music etc.).

Maybe it will help someone sometime.
