Roomster/Fabia - Shock Absorbers

Featured Replies

Can anyone confirm the OE manufacturer of the shocks used on Roomster/Fabia ? Example part number 6Q0413031BL as used on Roomster/ Fabia II/ Fabia VRS. These are the std equipment factory fitted front shocks. I'm guessing the OEM is either Boge/Sachs, or maybe Bilstein. Does anyone have the definative answer?

Cheers good Briskodians!

At older Skoda cars like mine previous Octavia MY 2002, i Think the shock absorber manufacturer was ALKO but i'm not sure.

Replying to my own post here. The front shocks are OEM "FKG". The makers mark actually states "FKG Germany". If you Google "FKG" you'll only find FKG China who are an automotive parts manufacturer of various mechanical products. Draw your own conclusions! The Schnauzerwagen now has Bilstein B4 front shocks which seem to be an improvement over the standard originals. The Bilstein B4's are also produced by FKG and bear the marks as 6Q0413031BL. I think they are physically the same as the dealer standard shocks 6Q0413031BL but judging from the car's feel I'd guess the valving is different as they noticably control the springs more efficiently.

I tried them on my previous PUG 106 1.4 XN and i changed them six months lster. Then i tried Bilstein B6. They were just perfect. When time comes, they will replace my Roomster' s shock absorbers.
