just looking on advice on best way of running in new engine i had to totally rebuild it as turbo blew and sent compreseror wheel through engine :(

so ive stripped it out and just about built it back up new bottom end,pistons,rings,hybrid turbo this time :) egr delete while engine was in bits

just drive it sensibly for 1st 500 mile or so...keep revs under 4000....3000-3500 ish max....dont boot it cold and let drive gently last mile of your journey...then change your oil again...

What he said, I had a MGTF and had a rebuild done, just keep the revs down on first 500 miles or so and drive steadily whilst cold. :thumbup:

after all this time it finally started up last night for first time since broke but now got horrible knocking noise from up top but everything is brand new cant work it out :(
