Irritating squeak/vibration

Featured Replies

For the last couple of days my vRS has developed a very irritating squeak from the passenger side front door. This is really driving mee potty. It is nothing in the door pocket, it must becoming from inside the door trim.

Any suggestions?

Door trim is squeaking on ours. Started about 2K ago.

Yup, mine's the same, actually squeaks/buzzes in time with the music as well!

I'll tackle the job myself soon when I upgrade my front speakers, will post again when I've got a solution.

Remove the cover for the tweeter and re-attach maybe using some sticky back plastic and an eggbox (ok forget the eggbox) and see wharther that improves things. Mines was squeeking like mad until I tracked it down to the tweeter cover....

My passenger door has started to squeak and is very annoying. On looking at it more closely the polystyrene behind the door seems to be causing the problem and must be rubbing against something to cause the hellish noise.

Any suggestions for how to cure this?
