Can't Code (MFD2) Radio for no MFSW with bluetooth

Featured Replies

rossm came over tonight for some bits and bobs to be recoded on his Octy Vrs. We were doing the MFD2 coding. Wanted to tell the radio (56) that we had bluetooth with no MFSW. so we tried to set 0002402 but we got a "Coding Rejected, Error 31: Request out of range".

Eventually went with 0004402 (with MFSW) which it accepted, steering wheel buttons aren't fitted but we figured no big deal.

Not a big problem and i'm sure it'll be absolutely fine, but just wondering if anyone else has come across this before or knows what causes it? Only thing i can come up with is Skoda's weird insistence in this market that if you want Bluetooth on the Vrs then you must take DSG and that comes with MFSW.

p.s. Ignore the notepad in the background, it's just us taking notes of adaptions we'd changed for the factory Bluetooth.

What was the original coding you started out with?

0000402 then Ross retrofitted factory bluetooth + an MFD2
