vRS owners very loyal?

Featured Replies

Is it just me, or are vRS owners (and Skoda owners in genral) really brand loyal?

I've lost count of the "I had a Fabia and this is my 2nd Octy" threads, or similar in different configurations.

I just can't imagine golf GTI owners feeling the same about Passat's or Polo's.

Perhaps a Superb, Roomster & Yeti vRS could keep the trend going ;)

Since 1999 we are on our 12th Skoda

We,re Loyal

This is mine 2nd since passing in Jan '08 and getting my first car in March '08

I want another Fabia, woulda had a vRS if they were cheaper. I have a Polo GTi now, and do I feel loyal to VW? No.

I currently have 2 Octavia's

im selling mine :'(

not because its rubbsish though, i just facncy a change, no doubt if skoda bring out a mk3 in the future ill look into one again

The cars are good for a reasonable abount of money and Skoda ( in Czech) is very conscious of looking after its drivers (though the UK outfit is rubbish). I will have to make up my mind about the new Fabia VRS after driving it but I have been pleased withmy motor in general.

I have had 2 Octavia's and now on a Fabia VRs, I got my dad into Skoda's, he had a 1.4TDi Fabia and then Upgraded to a VRs.

I also got my brother in law into them, he has a 1.9TDi PD100 Fabia.

Would I buy another Skoda, YES!!!

Am I going test driving the new Fabia VRs at the end of this month, YES!!!

Am I going to talk the wife into letting me have one, NO CHANCE!!!

I'm not brand loyal at all, I go with whatever car suits my needs best and would have no hesitation in choosing a different brand next time around if they had a car which was better for what I was wanting. As an engineer I do like Skoda as a brand though as it's the opposite of the poser image some of the other brands have.

Just can't get enough of a good thing perhaps. LOL

My parents had an Mk1 Octavia TDI and it was part of the reason why I bought my Fabia vRS. It does pretty much everything I want it to do and economical at the same time. I'm not brand loyal though. My 1st car was an Astra and then a Polo. After driving my parents new Swift it's made me realise how wallowy the handling is on the vRS in comparison and that's the 1.5 5dr not the 1.6 Sport. If there was a Suzuki Swift Sport 5Dr that came with a Supercharger as standard the vRS would be gone tomorrow.

+1..

I was wanting the swift sport but

practicality - 3dr vs 5 dr

price - maybe 1k more for eqv. at the time I was looking

power - 125bhp std, 140 at best with minor mods ~170bhp with supercharger vs '130bhp' and ~170 with minor mods (remap).. (though handling as said was much better in the SSS)

economy - diesel.. tax.. etc etc...

image - not so much of an important thing to many, but I can see if I got the SSS I'll be growing downwards rather than upwards lol

..in the end I went with the sensible option of the vRS :)

Wouldn't mind a mkII/III octy as I think they look really nice but I hope by the time I get a next car it'll be a bmw of sorts. really liking the new Z4 and X6's... but a 1 (coupé),3 or 5 series will be good too..!

I'm on my 6th Skoda, might be a 7th by the end off the year B)

My Octavia vrs has been pretty good but it's been in and out the garage since the end of february and to be honest, I haven't missed it at all. It costs me a fortune to run and I don't really need a big fast car anymore so I'm going back to a Rover 214 like I used to have. Octavia will soon be for sale, just depends if it's fixed or not that it goes in one piece or lots of little pieces.

I am still only on my first Skoda, but will definately be having another one when I change it. Had my 53 plate Fabia VRS for a year now, have just MOTed it today & it breezed through with no problems or advisories! With the girlfriend due to have our first little one this weekend maybe i'll be changing to an Octavia VRS in the near future, (diesel of course!) Think the new shape Octy VRS looks lovelly!! So yes, I will be loyal to Skoda!

I've had 4 skodas, 3 fabia vrs and a mk2 octy vrs, might be back in a mk2 octy vrs estate soon

I like mine but I'll probably change next time, just because I like to.

I'll be more fussy though after having a VAG.

I'm on my 2nd Octi vrs and Mrs Stig is on her first Ferbi. Like someone said it's a brand the that suits our need for a ecanomical, good looking and powerfull vehicle

On my 6th Skoda, and intend sticking with them for a while yet!

Think i couldnt be loyal at the mo.. im bored of my vrs already.. even after 3 weeks i was bored... Pre this i had a leon cupra.

Maybe i just need a remap and some noise from the loud pedel

I think I will be. I love my vRS to bits. If I did sell the Fabia then I would get an Octy vRS :)

twin pipes from the normal vRS exhaust will fit on the pipe as well. same size pipe work

I'm VAG loyal. I've had 3 Audis followed by my current Mk1 Octavia that I've had for over 6 years and I have no plans to change it.
