Wipers have just stopped working but fuse 24 is ok. anyone know whats wrong ?

thanks for the reply. Yeah gettin slower for about 2 weeks then nothing except a little movement(1 inch) so checked the fuse but ok. Would aa fix it ?

Doubt it,it probably needs a new linkage.

Excuse my ignorance as i really dont know anything but dont want to get hit from the stealers if i can fix it myself. So where and how can i fix or replace the linkage ? thanx

You can take the linkage out and clean up the spindles which go through some brass bushes. The spindle corrodes and causes the slow/stuttery movement. Mine failed, and I got a low-loader towtruck to take me home, and I then cleaned them up. The hardest bit will be getting the wipers off/scuttle panel removed.

Thanks again to all who replied. As you say, could not get wipers off so ended up taking to stealers !! Find out tomoz what damage is.
