4x4 badge

Featured Replies

Dunno how many people have asked me if my Scout is four wheel drive - I got so fed up with it I did this:

4x4badge.jpg

It was from e-bay, about a fiver, & is from a Vauxhall Frontera.

 looks horrid, sorry.....!

Not my cup of tea, but If I had a 4x4 version of a car that isn't normally 4x4 (octavia's in general) id want to show it off somehow! :D

Has no other Scout owner ever been asked this? Or is it because I will take it off road and usually leave a wake of two wheel drives behind me?

Actually, that photo does it no justice. It looks factory fit, you wouldn't notice it as being a stick on extra.

You wait for my spray on mud though....

Most people don't know that Skoda actually make 4 wheel drive vehicles.

It's usually the gear stick that gives the game away or me offering to pull a motorhome or caravan out of the mud that gets people going.

I would keep the philistines guessing personally! :giggle:

I've already purchased one for my new Scout. Pick it up in the morning. I also have a V12 badge for the other side..... :giggle:

OP... Looks OK and as long as you like it who cares ?

If anyone asks me I'd just invite them to have a look at my (gear) knob. ;)

Do you really care whether people know you have a 4x4 or not? Or is saying "yes" lots wearing you out?!

I'm being brutally honest here; if I saw a Scout on the road with a "4x4" badge like that (knowing it's not OEM), I'd probably have a little s******... the Scout looks great as it is, why spoil it?

The hidden word was s-n-i-g-g-e-r by the way :)

Nah, couldn't give a monkeys really, but it was a glass of home brew, e-bay, and a boring evening.

Once I had the badge well, it's a sticker and you have to stick stickers somewhere!

I quite like it and that is what's important. :mmm: I actually do not like modifications to cars as it happens, big wheels, coloured grills, lowering and so on (glad other people do though - dull old world if we were all the same), so this is about as far as I will go & if I get eggs thrown at me and shunned from polite society & burnt at the stake I might consider removing it.

Odd though, I like being different than the average bear - and it is different enough just being in a Scout!

*lobs eggs & gets out a T-Bone*

My Binman thought all Skodas were 4WD.......?

Mmm

Now somewhere lurking in the garage is the old 4x4 badge of of my Mk 1

Mine came free with my 4x4 Octavia!

Ahh yes - is that a Skoda 4x4 badge?

I see the Yeti has a red 'x' 4x4 badge, as does the Superb.

Well, when I get another batch of home brew on the I might just splash out on a Skoda badge.

If I can be arsed & they are cheap enough that is!

Personally, if it was me I'd have removed the "Scout" badge and replaced it with the "4x4 DTI" badge from the pre-facelift standard 4x4 (non-scout) Octavia....

I have toyed with the idea of collecting a set of new style badges for "Suberb" "Octavia" & "Roomster" to make up the word "Scout" and then stick this above the "4x4 DTI" badge on the right with the new "Octavia" badge on the left....

I wondered about a dumi set of twin zorsts on the other side :giggle:
