Copper Grease, dam

Featured Replies

I have KW V3 and I put copper grease on the threads.

Now I find the rear height adjustment is next to impossible. Is there and easy way to remove the grease? Am getting understeer and want to raise the back a bit.

Strange I put copper grease on mine and it makes adjustment better.

brake cleaner would work too, bit more powerful than wd too

unless he is slipping off with the c spanner the it would be difficult

Yeah the C spanner is slipping off. I find that after spending ages getting it to do say 2 turns it them moves freely up and down for those 2 turns. So copper grease is making it very hard.

Will it be of just to cover it in break cleaner, this wont affect or destroy anything else.

it might cloud up the finish on anodised or polished surfaces, little bit at a time and you should be fine
