Why are you starting from scratch? What happened to all the other stuff that was done? Why dont you keep it simple and (vaguely) original and get a Fabia 1.4 engine and run it on injection with an aftermarket ECU......you'll get a reliable, relatively quick usable car. You stick a Subaru lump in the back and you will wreck any chance of it handling....Alfa flat four has been done before so its possible....someone was even selling an adaptor plate on Ebay last year so they are out there.

Reason is my brother is too busy and he was in charge of the autocad - it was parked in his garage and now he has had his brat Felecia stroked and chipped GTi pickup resprayed and pimped he wants the garage back which is understandable. I like Subaru flat 4's and I have a chum looking for a complete Legacy/impreza to break - Kristian a mate works in scrap yeard and says they are always coming in. I have the interior from the Octavia out and my paint guy is poised to do under bonnet and engine bay in Skoda Octavia Race blue and repaint the beetle empi 8's alloys silver

Just wrestled the seats out the Octavia - Kristian has just told me about £300 of stuff has already been sold off the Octavia - engine still to go and all anciliaries.

Going to cut the rear seat centre bracket off with a cutter before Kris collects car on trailer tomorrow to weld onto Estelle

Seats are in good shape thank the lord of cheap motoring projects!
