It won't be 12 weeks.

I have ordered my 2.0 vRS petrol (race blue estate) with spare wheel on 10th June, and been given a build date for week 35 (1st week september) so should hopefully see it mid-late september

My colleague has ordered the L & K 2.0 Diesel (black) with spare wheel, same date, and he has been given week 37 build

So the diesels are taking slightly longer to come through

What is your experience of order to delivery date for Octy vRS Diesels ?

I placed my order on Sat 17th, but was told it wouldnt be entered on the system till Monday 19th, & not to expect a delivery date till approx 8 days after its been put on ( is this about right ? )

Yes I'd like to know this too if anyone can oblige.

Ordered Sat 3rd, got a build date today of week 41, with delivery expected around mid November.

So we have to assume something like 14 weeks to build and another 4-5 weeks to deliver. Bugger my car goes back on the 7th November lol!

I'm telling people for orders at the moment it'll be at some point in November, more likely towards the last few days of I think at the moment.

I think we will all know a lot more about delivery dates when the factory comes back from holiday and starts putting our orders into build weeks.

16 weeks from order to collection from the dealer for me (ordered last September, collected in January)

Ordered Petrol VRS Estate 22nd June just got build week 37 hopefully with me early Oct. I think the VRS and Scout are made in a different factory to the other Octavias, which may explain some differences like sdwilliams72

Ahhh.....But what a xmas pressie to have

And knowing the way the government / council are currently handling weather issues, there will be 5 feet of snow, which took them "totally by surprise", despite the Met Office giving out severe weather warnings...

I mean - who'd have thought it.. Snow in winter? What next?

Ordered Octavia 2 Elegance in August last year and arrived end of November exactly as they said - good! However think they are under pressure and build not as good as last one - Now at 8000 miles and have had new suspensions anti roll bar links at the front - front bumper repainted as paint came off at the number plate area and now they are struggling to cure water leak in the boot. Also minor electrical problems otherwise great vehicle and so economical. Best of Luck when it comes!!

i ordered my vrs tdi with extras on 20/6/2010 received a call from the dealer, dm keith huddersfield last week with a build week of 37 and that they should get the car within 3-4 weeks after that. i was originally told it would be upto 18 weeks from placing the order so its looking on track, cant come soon enough though got the bit between my teeth reading about everyone else taking delivery of theirs and posting pics...

I ordered a diesel Scout last Saturday and the dealer called me to say it's showing as build week 44, but that might change when the factory's back from shutdown.

A bit different to the 'end of September/ early October' they were talking about before I placed the order. Not that I was expecting it to be that quick after reading other's delivery dates on here
