Air Con Rad - Gone

Hi Guys

My air con has packed up on my octy 2 VRS and I think its the rad thats gone - tell tales signs of a fluid down the rad the following morning has anybody else come across this. I would not mind but the car is only 3 years old with 14.5K miles on the clock, been the garage £30.00 + vat to test it and £250.00 for a new rad Exc. fitting.
