1.2 Tsi 105bhp Fabia ( in anthracite)

Featured Replies

Morning all, currently driving a mk1 octy vrs, which I have owned for 8 years from new.

Ordered a new octy vrs in June, so waiting for delivery of that, but the fabia caught my eye as a replacement for swmbo's fiat punto.

Had a good look around it yesterday, as it was the only one they had in stock that wasn't sold, or too expensive. We bought it there and then!

Is there anywhere with a decent review on the engine etc, I know it's a new one but always interested in a good review.

The model we bought was the SE, which had the same bits as her old fiat, but with aircon, which will be a nice addition for her.

Pics to be sorted when we pick it up on Wednesday, after it's been prepped and plated

Cheers

Steve

I have had my TSI SE 85 for 2 weeks now and it is plenty quick for the wife. The engine is reponsive and when the turbo kicks in you feel it which is nice.

The air con is a bonus as we have never had a car with it before. We made the right choice in our eyes on the model we bought.

The engine is brilliant. You will notice some turbo lag from very low revs, but from 1500rpm it pulls very hard until nearly 4000rpm. It feels like a really gutsy 1.6 engine in all honesty, except you don't have to rev it up to make progress, keep the revs much lower and use its torque. I'm really impressed with mine, no issues at all.

I`ve got the 105bhp estate and although its only got 600 miles on the clock, it does give you plenty of power just tell her to watch the speed as its very quiet, and smooth and the speed just whips up before you know it...I agree with the others about the turbo lag from the low revs but think you`ll love it ..Decent reviews on the type are a bit few and far between though..

Thanks for the responses guys, picked it up today, and very happy...

Will add some pics over the next few days, but first impressions are it feels like a much bigger car, well built and quiet when running.

Engine pulls great, and glad we went for the 105bhp version, but having an octy vrs myself, we are used to how the turbo engines should be driven.

All round great little car, happy with the sound system, comfortable, and very roomy for what is classed as a supermini

Just got to wait for my new Octy vrs to be built and shipped now....

Roll on Mid September

before i go and take a load of pics, anything anyone wants to see in particular?

(the car people, the car....)

How about some engine pics? Don't see many of them on other threads.

Maybe some shots of the dash/dials all lit up - something about the ambers, greens, blues of warning lights that I like!

And congrats on the new car!

Not taken any inside as the sun and shadows were killing the pics, will do that again....

Damn, that's a good colour :)

That is a nice colour. I do like the front of the Fabia - nicely rounded now.

Cheers.

Been for a good run today in it, have to say, very impressive!

I can see what people meant by its like driving a diesel, it pulls so well in low revs.

If the 1.2 is this good, cant wait for my octy vrs to arrive in september....

Very nice.
