Does anyone know the size of the nut that holds the rear shock to the top mount?

i need to know by tonight as i need to change the rear shock and need to purchase a swan kneck spanner :)

A 17mm will fit & undo them, You may struggle to find someone on the street (As such) that stocks a 16mm Swan neck / Offset spanner

Halfrauds do a 15/16mm ......... 15 one end 16 the other..........

I can't definatively say from memory but if you get both then you are covered, Plus you will always use a 17 in the future as it is a more main stream size ..

its 16, but try and get that that top mount off! :wall:

I agree 16mm - I've got an open ended ?mm X 16mm and an offset ring ??mm X 16mm, but I have not got a 16mm combination spanner - that is being sorted out soon as VAG do tend to like "16mm" - as I've discovered only too often!!

To get the top mount off the shock took 200PSI.............. :no:
