octavia drum brakes problem

hi i,m tom a newbie from newcastle, have a octavia diesel, went to spain for 3 months,, left hand brake off,and doors unloked (kept in garage) came back, to find offside rear wheel locked up, took drum off,,, everything seemed free,,no sign of any seizures,put back together all has been well since ,but would not like that to suddenly happen again,any help on this would be greatly appreciated.regards tom.
