Running a Forge FMIC?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've ordered a Forge FMIC today as they could supply theirs before Allard could. Just have a couple of questions I was hoping you could help me with please.

Does the Forge kit make use of existing OEM pipes? If so, which ones? Its just the connections between some of the OEM pipes less than perfect- so are there any uprated pipes and or hoses that can be used in conjunction with the Forge kit to ensure no pipes pop off?

If there are any such uprated items, where might I get them please?

Thanks for your help guys.

The remaining oem clips aint too bad,

The worst will be the last on the top of the engine where i personally would fit an egr delete anyway!!!

And also carry out the ccv mod

Cheers, I've done the CCV mod and am not too keen on the EGR delete option as I don't want to lose the anti-shudder system ('05 car).

It was mainly the pipes above the SMIC that concern me, the joins between them don't seem so solid. Just want to make the system as tight as possible, minimising the chances of popping hoses.

I've got a forge on mine and I've not had a pipe pop off where they meet the standard clips or anywhere else on the pipe system for that matter, got no boost leaks either

When fitting all the pipes get the jubilee clips as tight as possible then check them again after a while to make sure there still nice and tight :)
