Mileage

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Brother is looking for a octavia vRS. He has found a couple but nothing perfect as of yet. Basically, what mileage is good for a vRS to be at? Or what could a 3k budget get in this climate at the moment?

cheers

I'd go for a higher mileage car with full history over a low mileage car with no history. Mine is coming up to 90k and it sounds and goes like new.

3k probably looking at 90k or 100k miles depending on where in the country you are buying it, service history etc.

I bought my Octy vrs for 3k, full service history, 2004, 107k miles.

I recently paid £2000 for my 2002 99k FSSH 1 previous owner VRS. Needed a couple of tyres & a rear spring. There are bargains to be had if you're patient.

I payed 3100 for my 52 plate octy vrs, 77 000 miles full service history cambelt and waterpump just replaced

Forget miles, condition is everything.

I paid £4,500 for a 52 plater with 39k miles with full history. Bought about 4 months ago.

The interior was absolutely immaculate. (The mats were still in plastic wrapping ffs). I think the guy who had it before was a bit OCD about it.

As has been mentioned earlier, condition is everything. If the engine and mechanics are looked after, mileage isn't usually a problem.
