Skoda Used Car Search Feature

Featured Replies

I browse the used Superb's on the Skoda website most weeks as I try to persuade myself that my current Octavia Scout needs some company on the driveway.

I'm quite particular about the spec I want and xenon’s are a must for me.

I know that the Elegance has them as standard but the default specification list never lists them. It looks to me as though it’s just a default list for each different specification.

I'm not bothered about sat nav so I'd consider an SE if I could tell which ones have xenon’s, the usual give away with most other manufacturers that a car is equipped with xenon’s is the headlight wash system which is compulsory for xenon equipped cars. Unfortunately nearly all Superb’s feature headlight wash regardless of the headlight set-up!

When I bought my Scout (found using the Skoda website) I didn't realise it had xenon’s until I drove it for the first time in the dark. No mention of it on the website and the dealer had no idea either! Now I have experienced them any car I buy will have to have them too!

A car equipped with xenon’s also looses the manual headlight height adjust switch, as xenon’s must auto level by themselves, but typically the interior shots are taken from the passenger seat so I can't tell from the pictures either.

I spend a lot of time on the Octavia forum too and the amount of complaints about brochure and website inaccuracies are unbelievable. Come on Skoda help me out here! :wonder:

If you can see an image of the headlights themselves you should see a 'square' section on the outer edge of the module lens. This is associated with cars that have the cornering headlights. On the Superb only the xenon equipped cars have this function as I'm sure your aware.

xenon My link

Standard My link

Hope this helps.

I doubt you'll find any SE Superbs with the bi-xenon option since it's a fairly expensive option when new.

I suspect most sales guys who have one on the forecourt probably won't know how to tell anyway.
