How much !!!!!

Welcome to the vRS on order club.

My order went in on Monday. Just have to sit tight and wait now.

Although it will be good to now the approximate build date which we should get within the next couple of weeks.

Something to pencil in on the calender.

I assume your borrowing quite a big lump of cash judging by those repayments mate? :wonder:

I have seen at least one other VRS being used as a taxi so you will not be the first to do this.

My VRS diesel was ordered by dealer Monday 26th July, just been informed that build week is 44 (1st November) with delivery 3 weeks after that. Total of 17 weeks.

Seems a bit steep to me...

Nice car choice though

Very nice spec, estate I presume?

You should have posted on here earlier, I can do that car for £426 with a £550 deposit.

Still I think you got a good deal!

Very Strange, I ordered mine on Sat17th July, it went on the system on Monday 19th July, factory went back to work on Mon 26th July, so previous 3 weeks held orders were processed & I got build week 38.

Although dealer was hope full that it may come in a week or 2 earlier, once the factory got back up to speed, & seeing other posts where, orders have come forward, we can all hope :D

Email read "Your car is currently sitting in week 44 (1st November), this is not a confirmed week, and is expected to change, once it is confirmed then once built is takes approx. 3 weeks to arrive to our dealership."

I'm really hoping it gets delivered 1st or 2nd week of November as my lease car goes back 8th Nov!

Well, I don't put a deposit down 'cos I think it's dead money.

You can do it at @24 per month cheaper. But with the £550 deposit it would take me 22 months to get that back so not a huge difference in it !

The car will be gone anyway after 3 years.

My current car is on 54 months and i've only had that 3 years and am a gnats arse from being level on the old neg equity so this one will be changed at about the same time with hardly any neg equity.

I actually went to Clock Garage in Spondon, Derby and he only offered 4200 for my current car and £480 per month over 54, only for the DSG and metallic paint !!!

Farmers at Leicester who I have traded with for 8 years (7 new cars in that time) offered 6500 for the current car and £450 per month over 54 but with the maxidot, bluetooth and leather included.

The thing is , I don't have to go and sign for the order, he just orders it on my word and the guy at Farmers doesn't even look at my car to give a value so we really don't have to go through all the usual bull***t before we come to a final figure.

It just seems to work better for me this way.

The last time I changed my taxi I couldn't get in for the Council Plate Test for about a week after taking delivery of the new car so he let me cab the old car for the week until the Plate Test date and then I took the old car back to him.

It's little things like that, that make all the difference. Not just a cheaper deal !!

Cheers.

Oh, just the one then ??? Unless he is in Nottingham, I don't think I shall be seeing many more cabs about using the VRS 'me owd tater' !! :p

I will post one tomorrow if I get chance. It will be a Private Hire vehicle not Hackney so it won't have the sign on the roof. I do have a spare one in the shed though so I can stick it on the roof and take a picture but it won't be lit up as I won't be having the necessary wiring installed as i'm not using one on this car !! :D

I didn't put a deposit down. The dealer that I buy all my cars from orders the car without a deposit. (He trusts me !! ). Don't forget, I am using this car as a Taxi so the finance can sometimes be a little more expensive because the car devalues a lot quicker than a normal car.

To rent a Taxi costs in the region of about £100 per week (£400 per month) so I may as well have something that I want rather than what is given to me as a rental.

I obviously have to maintain my own car but I would still rather jump into a VRS Tdi of a morning than a clapped out Peugeot 406 with intergalactic miles on it.

I have to sit in the damn thing for 10 hours a day so investing in a nice car for my job keeps me 'interested' if you get my drift !!
