Auto Locking

Featured Replies

Hi i have a 2006 vrs.

Is it possible to have auto locking-ie it locks if you walk away from the car.

I'm not certain if it did work on my car for a while and then stopped.

Thanks

You asking specifically about proximity lockdown, the way Renault have ? - If so , its not on Octy as the car & key would need to have a receiver & transmitter to do this.

I know some of the Skodas had an autolock if you remotely unlocked the car & didnt open door or boot within approx 30 seconds.

There is also the boot only open function that relocks the car when its closed.

I will be checking to see if these 2 function are still on the new Octy when it arrives.

They are...

So if you unlock the boot using the fob, don't leave the keys in the boot as it locks again and resets the alarm when closed...

The re-locking of the car if no doors etc. are opened withing 30 seconds is across the VAG range, and I suspect the boot relocking is too

Thought it was 45 secs myself, but yes - that's a std feature on all modern Skodas with remote central locking....

[At the moment if i walk away it does not lock it self, also the windows do not close when you lock the vehicle

It won't lock automatically, they don't have the right transmitters etc.

You can close the windows by holding the lock button.
