Not sure if this is possible but wont know wothout asking :0)

I got 2 keys when i bought my octy, one is ok but the other is broken, the metal part on the top that you put a keyring through is broken on one side, and if any pressure is applied then the fob comes off the keyring.

Obviously replacing a lost key is expensive, but does anyone know if it is possible to buy just the plastic fob housing with the metal clip?

Yep, you can just get the back part which has the keyring part, I have just purchased one from the Bay as mine snapped off as well

excellent!! thanks for that, thought it would be a main stealer part only, and at least the whole body for some extortianate price.

I used to work for Vauxhall and they didnt sell replacement key fob parts, and the key cost £150 to have cut and coded.

is there a guide for swapping the plastics over as i need to get this done too

Jobs a good'un, made an offer and all sorted and paid for now, to be honest, i would be happy spending a lot more than i did just to know that i wont loose my key.

Asa point, i only noticed the fob was broken when i was leaning over the engine and i heard something fall into the engine bay, yes you guessed the key... happily sat there down between the radiator and the fan assembly. Luckily got it out lol :0)

you will have to let us know what price he's willing to accept, it will defo be cheaper than getting it from sparshatts !
