Ordered my Candy White vRS petrol DSG earlier today, delighted. Fantastic input from Keir and Jamie at Henrys Skoda, top dealership all round. Will get chrome grill suround coded by dealer and now looking to source a reliable comany to powder coat alloys in gloss black.

Looks like it'll be a long wait, possibly mid Dec....any thoughts on detailing products? Been using Blackfire on my black vRS but thinking Zaino for Candy White?

How much do the dealers want for painting the grill? I am interested for my order. It's a candy white one due dec time. Also fancy getting the wheels painted.

I use Harly wax on my current black car and am delighted with the results.

I too have a Candy white vRS ordered and asked this question.

I got 3 suggestions

1) Zaino

2)Jeffs Werkstat Acrylic kit

3) Chemical Guys products

I went for option 3,

I got CG P40 polish

and

CG Blitz Acrylic spray sealant.

Did not get the chance to try it out yet as still waiting on my car to arrive.

Nice choice - I ordered a White Petrol vRS (no DSG) yesterday too. I almost went for Yellow, but I've got a yellow Mk1 at the moment and thought I better have a colour change. I may regret this - white seems to be becoming common

Did the dealer give you an indication of delivery? Mine would only say "12 weeks is the official line".

Even Skoda UK told me 16 weeks before I ordered, so 12 is probably not likely. Mine is on course for 22 at the moment.

Not discussed cost to paint grill, will agree nearer the time.

Jeffs Acryllic kit does sound good for White, again will decided neared the time, but will be needed especially as it will be middle of winter by time car is delivered. I'm not expecting to take delivery until mid Dec. Just fancied trying DSG after being used to manuals.. I guess the obvious bonus is much quicker progress through the gears, looking forward to Christmas..
