Hello members...the abs tcs lights are showing up on my dashboard..is it ok to drive the car for around 400 miles in 2 days? As i dnt have enough time to fix the problem

I would test the brakes somewhere safe to see if they are working ok. Even if the ABS and TCS lights show a fault doesn't mean it's dangerous, just could mean the auto part is faulty, so drive the car as you would with an old non ABS ,TCS car. To clear the fault have a look at the sticky thread above and clean the ABS sensors on the wheel hubs, maybe thats all it is.

1) Check that your brake lights are working!! It's not uncommon for this problem to indicate a failure in the switch.

2) If they are, check you have 14v or so across the battery terminals with the engine idling.

3) If not, then you have a probable sensor failure.

In case (2), you probably won't make it 200 miles; in case (1) it's highly not recommended; in case (3) I leave the decision to your concience.

Thanks for the reply..could u pls explain the point number 2 more clearly and what do u mean by 14v acrossbattery terminals and how can i check that? M not good with cars...will appreciate ur help.. thanks

You need a volt meter to check this. If you don't have problems starting the car when cold or other warning lights on then it's unlikely to be the battery unless it is 6 or 7 years old.

I agree with above checks - and would add one more - check if the LOAD SENSOR wire in the engine bay has broken - common issue on the ibiza.
