Do you know if that harness will work with other models of Parrot kits?

As far as I know it will - it converts the quadblock connector to 2 x DIN connector which is all standard. (All the parrots come as DIN connectors)

Sorry to be a fud, but would I be looking at £65 to put this in my mk2 octy?

  • Author

Yes - that is how it was fitted into my 2008 Mk2 Octy.

Tom

Are these easy to fit?

Yes

A man of your calibre; no problem :D

Cheers Steve  I miss hands free from the 407 as it came as standard, was the only thing that didn't break in the 3 months I had it :giggle:

It's straight forward, especially with the adaptor harness there. Hardest thing is probably tidily stuffing all the gubbins including the Parrot 'brain' somewhere. Should be a bit easier in the Octy2; the Fabia was a nightmare for this as there was hardly any room behind the dash.

You could stow the controller down behind ashtray for example. Reckon it would fit there. Then just run the mic under the dash and glovebox, up the passenger side A-pillar and across the top of the windscreen. There should be room to pop it into the mic recess in the interior light, or just a bit of sticky tape/velcro to the edge of the headlining if you prefer.
