Boost pressure variations

Featured Replies

Hi guys my turbo went the other month so I have had it reconditioned and it was making a high pitched whine so I stuck a boost gauge on it to find it was boosting at 1.5 bar which is nearly double the 0.8 maximum that skoda specify I have adjusted it now at the actuator down to 0.8 but out on the road it boosts to 1.2 is this normal?

hi mate mine is remaped and im running 26psi under load (1.79 bar) and on a cold morning i have seen it go as high as 28psi (1.93bar) although not often at all but i have now had the remap on my car for over 10k miles and its a std turbo that has just clocked 155,000 miles not sure what the std psi should be but im sure someone will be able to help

p.s. im sure the std bar is higher than 0.8
