For a full flush through and replacement? Going to be buying some performance brake fluid but don't want too much as it doesn't keep for ages.

2 litres should be plenty, it usually takes about a litre.

I always overdo it and buy the 5 litre cans of brake fluid from Halfords lol, I think the official figure is something like 1l, but if you're being more thorough then 2l is good.

What are you buying for it to cost that much ?

DOT 5.1 fluid is only £3.10 per 500ml at my local motor factors

I hope you are not using DOT5 silicone fluid - that doesn't mix with normal brake fluid and i'm not sure that it's compatible with the seals in VAG brake systems.

Nope - actually using a Dot4 but it is the dogs danglies stuff that easily outperforms 5.1 - Motul RBF600. Just ordered 1.5 litres for £37 all in from Opie Oils. Basically it should mean my brakes never fade on track, or at least last a lot longer.

i've heard soem good reports about Motul RBF600 from some motorcycle riders, i'd be interested to hear what it's like
