To be honest i'm a little gutted as it is an excellent car but i refuse to pay £235 road tax and want a car i can actually fit in my garage!

How much did you get for it mate? looks a cracker

Hi,

I'm interested in your S2000 aerial mod, was this a straight swap or did you need to change the base etc?

Cheers,

Martin

I used to have one on mine and it was a straight swap, just screwed straight in. The reception was p*ss poor though :(

Mine was a straight swap :)

The old one can be a challenge to remove with the anti theft thingy.

You mean unscrew and replace, that simple?emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Any details on what type you bought? Ordinary Honda part? Oh, and are you using the original head unit?

Think it was a Honda part. It came from Ebay for about 7 quid. It was a couple of years back :)

The old one unscrews then you have to hold the base with one hand, grip the aerial with pliers and tug HARD to remove it.

New one just screws in, though some have had to slightly trim the rubber at the base of the new one.

I have an aftermarket HU, no issues with reception.

Thanks for info Rob. Will start a new thread in the Styling section rather than totally hijack this thread. (Bit late for that perhaps? emoticon-0140-rofl.gif )

I got £3900 for it, not bad for an 8 year old car. Question is do i now get a Fabia vRS or go abit more economical and get a newer Fabia 1.4TDI?

Hi Martin, it's a straight swap and i lost no reception whatsoever. Original aerial has some kind of anti-theft mechanism so you have to prize it off! I would do a search on here for a guide before attempting it though!
