Fabia VRS Service

Featured Replies

Just had my 2004 Fabia VRS back form the garage after it's 60,000 mile service. I've had the cambelt, pretensioners, water pump and anti-freeze changed as its just ticked over 61,500 miles. Getting a little confused reading the manual and was wondering what should be done on this service as I'm led to believe its quite a major one. They've "serviced" it and changed air/pollen and fuel filter, replaced brake fluid and wiper blades. However rear washer hasn't been working for some time and one of my front washer jets trickles water out. After the garage phoning earlier to inform me of this should they have carried out this work while doing the service as I think it suggests in the service book or is it for me to pay extra to have this work done? Just wondering whether I've been robbed or not???

A 60k service is a multiple of a 20k, so its a basic inspection service. Pollen filter will be changed, fuel filter is every 40k along with the air filter (40k is the big service).

Washers should be checked and reported if defective, but wont be part of the service if they need unblocking or reconnecting.

cheers lummox as long as I know just reading through the service book it sounds as if all these things if found to be defective should be fixed as part of the service must be reading it wrong thanks for that anyway :)

The books can be missleading, they have to cover a wide range of models and its probably been translated three times before it gets into English lol.
