Light Assistance

Featured Replies

When light assistance is on as soon as you turn ignition on and it's dark enough it switches on the dipped beam.

At the weekend I will be fitting my HID kit to the car and don't really want them firing without the engine running, is there any coding that can be done so the dipped beam waits for the engine to be running?

I found how to change the leaving/coming home lights so it uses the fog lights and not the dipped beam so that bit is sorted.

Many Thanks

BIG Nick :)

Not sure you can do that Nick, for it to wait for the engine to run. I've not spotted that option anyway.

How have you changed the leaving/coming home lights to use the fogs too? Might give that a try myself

Cheers,

Steve

Hi,

It doesn't use the fogs "aswell" it uses them instead of!

I did that as I didn't want HID's being started just off the battery and the fact that the controller fades the lights out by reducing the voltage and the HID ballast's wouldn't like that!

It's in the 09 Central Electrics on mine for changing them anyway!

Cheers

Yep, sorry - understood that it was instead of. Just bad sentence creation on my part!

OK, will take a look next time I'm 'hooked up'.
